What did yall think of the new lineup?

I liked it. Patterson makes better decisions with the ball. Seems to have a better basketball IQ then Gray.

IDgaf who starts. Aggression and being engaged for 40 minutes is the key.

Been wanting this for a month now. Gray got too much goodwill from his play against shitty opponents and his game-winner at WVU

Patterson has much better ball control, and it's ridiculously obvious. Gray isn't a natural PG, or if he is, he isn't a very good one

I enjoyed it. TQ starting was due and Patterson's play has been too good as of late compared to gray to not have them switch. I'm still holding onto hope that Gray will turn it around

I liked it a lot. Stick with it and let gray be our sixth man off the bench.

It would be nice, however, if this new "bench" would be able to contribute some points.

It was just 1 game, but it worked and I liked it.
Only drawback is that 4 of our 5 starters played 35+ minutes. The 1 that didn't was Martin, and he played 30. But he also leads our team in mpg. And only 3 bench players got in the game. And 1 of those 3 players was Bridgewater, with 1 minute.
So are all 5 of our starters in this lineup gonna average 35mpg from here on out?

If we cannot get production out of the "new" bench we will not go very far. We have to have 3 guys at least off the bench to give quality minutes

Well that probably won't happen this year unless something clicks with Epps and Malone/Bridgewater

much needed. It allows for better substitution patterns

No doubt....
And that's 1 of the reasons why I liked having TQ or Patterson(or even Hornsby) coming off the bench. Gotta have someone off the bench able to play big minutes.

As much as I hate to say it, Gray needs to sit more. Patterson and Quarterman play better, and more under control.

What happened to odu? Needs to play before bridge water. Robinson needs some kind of playing time

LSU beat a team missing two starters, I'm not sure they played much better with the new lineup.

I don't know, maybe earlier in some of the OOC games he could have gained some more experience I'd agree. But I don't think it's a good idea to all of a sudden throw him back out there in these do or die SEC games to gain experience, after not playing for so long. Unless he's shown something in practice to warrant it. Too important.
For me the drawback is he's just very slow and stiff. Does not move well. Hopefully, he can improve that it time, but I don't think that's something that can improve overnight. And I don't think he brings enough of anything otherwise to compensate for that, at least right now.

Several posters have been calling for this lineup for weeks. I am glad JJ finally decided to go with it. It paid off.
