Thoughts, opinions, experiences, and reviews are welcome.

I'm looking for a good ambidextrous firearm that will be kept strictly at work. Most important qualities: 10+ round capacity, reliability, easily controlled.

TIA

Hu Flung Pu and I each have one. I work at an FFL and they are allocated at every distributor, so they are tough to find. Ergonomics are exceptional, obviously, and the trigger is great. Only better trigger on the market is the Walther PPQ's.

Get it or the PPQ. Bees knees for striker fired as far as I'm concerned. Those Germans know what they're doing

I love mine. I believe the HK is an overall better gun than the ppq but I agree with Carson that the trigger is a little better on the ppq but only slightly and it is nitpicking at that level of awesomeness. Going from a stock glock to those two are not nitpicking, it is a whole new world.

The ergos on the hk is the best on ergos. It allows customization on the side panels and rear.

Everyone that has shot it wants it because they always shot better with it.

Accessories are already available because it interchanges with the p30l mostly. (sights and holsters)

I have shot ~1000 rounds through it with steel and brass and not had a single malfunction.

It loves Speer gold dot 124 +p

The reason I see that the trigger on the ppq is better is because of the reset HOWEVER, (sorry Carson ) I do not find the reset important because I do not rapid fire and go for accuracy everytime. I routinely shoot past 20 to 25 yards to practice longer ranges. I don't even like shooting my AR closer than 100 yards

Thanks to both of you. I'm going to go fire both of them soon. Based on reading up on both, I'm leaning towards the ppq.

Don't know how. My post definitely didn't favor the ppq lol. I would definitely hold both and see which one you like. (though it better be a vp9).

Is that the threaded barrel one? That would be tight. I want a p226 next, maybe the mk25 (might get it for grad school completion present)

Just read up on the navy. What is the difference? LINK

Damn guns. They are crack and those damn Germans know it.

Eta nevermind : I want a p226 tacops

You don't want the Mk25. Literally a 226 with with an anchor stamp and phosphated internals

Get the tac ops

You watch your whore mouth Carson. The MK25 is a bad motherfricker.

The p320 is on my list if they ever release the .45. Site has been saying "coming soon" since they introduced the gun.

I picked one up and have put it through it's paces. The trigger is amazing and if you are looking for ambi controls, the HKs in general are perfectly suited for that.

It shoots the same mags as the p30 which are 15rd.

Grayguns always sends me emails on the trigger job for the VP9...I wonder what a $300 trigger job does to the gun. I want to get my LEM the reduced reset package and have them install some new sights. I'm sure it's north of $500 though with shipping, so I'm holding off until I shoot the gun more.

I'll echo what others have already said. The vp9 is probably the best production polymer on the market. As much as it pains me to say it, it's light years beyond the venerable glock. I've had mine for about 6 mo now. After selling all my p30s to move back to striker fires, I was unsure if I'd ever own a hk again. My only regret is selling my 30 or so p30 mags. The PPQ has slightly shorter reset but I believe the vp9 executes the paddle mag release much better.

I am trying to decide between the two - both are excellent and their triggers are fantastic. I've just never used a paddle mag release. It's the only thing giving me pause on the H&K.

For most once they get use to using their index finger to drop the mag, they can run it faster and without changing their grip.

Paddle style is the GOAT. I hate using traditional buttons, but the PPQ M2's oversized button is the best on the market

Get both breh

I just saw this morning that CDNN has the VP9 on sale now for $550 + shipping. In stock right now. Add the FFL transfer fee and you still should be under $600 OTD.
