We just signed a 5 star running back..two 5 star receiver/athletes and probably the best oline haul in the country.

Not to mention we'll already probably have one of the best olines in the sec next year with one of the best rb's in the country...an experienced and talented wr's not to mention what's coming in.

Our 2 quarterbacks have 2 and 3 years in the system.

THERE IS NO EXCUSE MILES!! NONE..!!!!

Ok. I feel better. Lol

So you're saying we didn't have a 5 star running back, a few 5 star and 4 star WR's(one that broke a national receiving record), and a highly ranked oline last year, or the year before?

No way man...they have had plenty of time to develop. The year before we lost our QB..receivers and running back. All starters.

No one left last year.

I agree, we lost too much on the offense from 2013. All these guys have received pt against top notch programs. Hopefully most of them grew up. Especially the qb and wr positions.

Who else is afraid we have seen the best of AJ?

Defense returns a lot of snaps. Find suitable replacements on the ends(expecting Key to contribute from day 1 and Bower to step up). Feeling good about the interior. Started to become our strength towards the end. Getting pressure on the QB is going to be paramount. DBU obviously still intact. Like to see a couple of young guys step up on Sam and Will.

Offensively, LSU legitimately has the most talented backfield in the country. Wide receiver corp is so talented. The best will be on the field. Really hope to see a healthy rotation. Returning Vadal was huge. Expect Grimes in year two to take a big step forward.

Only question mark remains at.. QB. honestly no excuse from AJ at this point. Two years with CCC and a whole offseason. No matter who the starter is, they should be thoroughly improved. No point in recruiting five star wide receivers if you can't throw it to them.

What really sucks is that if Harris wins the job, he wont have that much experience. One of my biggest gripes about last season is Harris not getting more snaps during the latter part of the season.

Not if the QB at the helm is throwing basic slants and out routes about 5 yards off the mark.

Right, because we've never had a good defense under Miles.
Under miles LSU has had some good offenses.

2006
2007
2008-outside of Lee's pick sixes, 33rd in points per play
2009-lsu was 16th in the country in offensive tds per game
2011
2013

Were all good offenses.

The sad part?

We essentially have our entire offense coming back next year, while Auburn and Alabama both lose 7 guys on offense (including their QBs). Yet, it's almost a given that they'll both field better offenses with better QB play than LSU next year.

The year before last year was the best offense lsu has had in a long time. Mett was 260 yards away from throwing for more yards in a season than any lsu qb, ever.
JHill had the 2nd most rushing yards in lsu history and set the single season yards per carry record( chubb broke it this year with 7.1 ypc, Hill was 6.9). OBJr and Landry both had over 1100 yards receiving.
