Has another super hero movie ever ended as epically as this?

Superman flying above the earth

"I am Iron Man."

But that's one of my favorite comic book movie endings for sure.

This was one of the first VHS movies I received as a gift for Christmas. The other one I received that year was Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. That was probably my favorite Christmas ever as a kid.

Definitely my favorite cast of any of the Batman movies. Michael Keaton, Jack Nicholson, Billy Dee Williams and smokin' hot Kim Bassinger.

That's not a very "epic" ending for me, but I guess I can see why someone would think so if they were a Batman fan and this was the first big screen movie about him.

This makes me want to go back and watch the original again...been a while since I've sat down and watched the whole thing.

That whole scene at the end of the 1st Iron Man movie was great. You could almost see inside Stark's head as he was describing what all took place, him saying to himself "damn that is pretty awesome...screw this crap, hell yeah I'm Iron Man".

That was definitely pretty epic in my book.

The 1st Iron Man gets worse every time I watch it. Granted I havent watched it in a while, but I doubt I ever will again.

The first 45 minutes of it is definitely some of the best comic book stuff out there. But it drastically falls off once he busts out of being held captive.

Once he actually becomes Iron Man, its meh to me. A weak villain didnt help. A big Iron Man.

The second installment had awesome villains, but fell short overall.

The third was one of the worst comic book movies ever. Stark becomes extremely annoying. It was more of a comedy that wasnt funny.

But yea, the :dropsmic: ending for the first was a pretty good final scene I do have to admit that.

That scene and TDK ending scene are the GOATs

Know how I know you've barely seen any comic book flicks?

Too many.

The amount of comic book movies that come out drives me crazy. But I end up watching them anyways for some reason.

there really aren't that many each year. The next couple of years will be fairly crowded but usually its 3 or 4 max.

I've watched every one of those except Jonah hex, I Frankenstein, and ghost rider.

Yes, they all suck. Just like iron man 3 sucks. The end of the movie was just as ridiculous as a scene can get.

I mean it was a terrible movie. No doubt there are worse movies out there, I just found it pretty bad, even with low expectation.

Keaton worked well for the cartoonish violence, but no way does he compare to Bale. At least Bale is believable as a character who can kick someone's arse. Keaton couldn't beat Kim at arm wrestling.

Michael Keaton was a good Bruce Wayne but you can't convince me for a moment that he could get into that suit and be Batman.
