Live in the middle of BR and we are surrounded by about 7 acres. We have a couple of foxes that have shown up and are getting into the dog food. I have no problem with them as long as they aren't a threat to the dogs. So far they haul arse when the dogs go outside. SO is freaking out about them but I think their pretty cool to watch.

Any concerns?

Rabies is a risk but it is minimal. if your dogs are smaller than the Fox it may be a concern.

Get some old rotted meat, or cat food.
Sprinkle some Golden Malrin fly bait on it. (tractor supply)
Go to bed.
Whatever ate it will be found within about 40 feet of the bait.
Win.

(deer won't eat rotted meat)

WF will then pay you a visit and you can have your day in court

Get a trap and trap them and have WF release them elsewhere

don't kill the damn fox

like mentioned before get a nuisance trapper hired by LDWF to come transfer it.

Poisoning animals should only be for pigs

Get criminal charges for using a poison contrary to its labeling. Pay huge fine and legal expenses

Winning

Or just call LDWF for the name of a nuisance animal trapper to have them removed. I've got a family if foxes that pay my barn a visit regularly. Eat cat food but not the barn cats and move on. They're cool. I wouldn't worry about them.

I'd keep it around. Foxes are pretty cool. And it probably helps keep down the rodents.

Agree with the ones that say keep them around. Its odd, that I stay in the woods, hunt, fish, collect plants (amateur plant taxonomist), and I have only seen foxes one time in the wild.

That said, I would let them be and appreciate them

A fox ain't going to attack your dogs. I trap alot and believe in ridding the world of them but i can promise you that they will not attack your dogs.
