I think you have to light the burner first.

I don't know how you managed to do it, but you've already messed up. Dump and start again.

I opened a beer before doing anything else, I thought that was step one.

Full disclosure, one boil over already.

Was planning for no beer today but for some reason I have an odd craving for beechwood.

Are you holding your kettle up with a metal file? You're going to make a great homebrewer. We all have to jury rig things a time or two.

FBD: Tin Roof Smiling Ivan RIS

Nice RIS; lots of dark fruit and chocolate, nice roast as it warms, super smooth.

Should taste even better when it comes out of those barrels.

SBD: Tin Roof Strawberry King Cake Killa

It's odd how much this beer smells and tastes like a strawberry cream cheese king cake. I don't think I'd want any more than a 5 oz pour of it, but it would great at festivals.

You can tell he's prepared when he brings the bottling wand to brew day.

Hell yeah, the wife was nervous about it.

The pot I intended to use apparently didn't make the move to NOLA yet. I wasn't driving back to BR to get it so I made due.

Just made an uptown pit stop and bought a few brews. Some good stuff out right now.

In other news, Jesus Christ Felipe's is terrible. Thought it would be a quick and easy burrito, which is hard to mess up. Nope. Greaseball.
