I know I have seen a few posters wondering about his eligibility and if he ever got cleared. The advocate reported this morning that he is and is ready to go.

To give a little insight on how good this kid can be they were saying that the new OT commit Valentine-Okeke was a high school teammate and the only player on the football team who would dare go up against Tre in one on one drills. Although the new commit is a 4-5 star talent the coach telling the story said that Chidi Valentine Okeke would only beat Tre maybe 1 in 10 times. If true that's incredible and has to have you pumped about his potential

Him and Godcheax then add these 2016 boys to that group and Gilmore, Bain and Harron better start taking their opportunity seriously. DL is gonna be pretty good real soon. Then you have Beckwith, Jones, and the MLB we signed last year. We gonna have some talent in the front 7 next year. Unless Beckwith has a crazy good year his JR. he better come back for one more!! The madness of these guys leaving early needs to go.

Can you imagine big Ed Alexander, Vakentine, Godcheax, Lawence, Guidry, and Jones????? Wow!!!! I would have to put all them boys on the line 5 @ a time in situations just to do it.

"Yeah beckwith, you better not be really fricking good next year! We need you back as a senior so don't go out there and ball out to get the next level!!"

WHERE'S THE LINK ?

I dont have a link. I read the paper edition. It was a followup article right after the Valentine-Okeke article. I read it over several times to make sure what I was reading was correct information. Go get an advocate at a gas station and see for yourself

Just wait till LSU compliance gets a hold of his transcripts. They'll find something.

LINK

Down the page where it says "VALENTINE PUMPED"

Or... Assuming Mike Tunsil is correct...

quote:

Valentine, the 6-foot-3, 325-pound defensive tackle, is excited about beginning spring practice and being eligible next fall, Tunsil said.

The coach communicates with Valentine about “four to five times a week,” he said.

Valentine took a redshirt last season after the Southeastern Conference would not rule him eligible. Tunsil said Valentine is eligible for the 2015 season.

“He’s looking forward to it and pumped,” Tunsil said. “He’s cleared now.”

Valentine practiced with LSU during the fall but couldn’t play in games. He’s now like every other player, Tunsil said: If he continues to maintain a qualifying GPA at LSU, he’s eligible to play.
