Outside of Fournette, Valentine was the guy I was most excited about playing. I think he'll be such a force in the middle that it will transform the D. We were soft in the interior. With TV and Beckwith that will no longer be the case.

I think Valentine can have an impact better than Nkemdiche did for Ole Miss. He clogs up the line and is in the backfield a lot. He doesn't get the stats, but you have to watch him to see just how damn effective he is.

I really like our interior with Godchaux and TV. I worry about our ends. This may be the first season in a while without a legitimate pass rusher.

I hope this board is right about Mr Valentine, I like to see them play some first before I get excited about any player. Statements like nobody could block him in HS or in practice just do not resonate with me. I've heard all this many times before and sometimes it is correct and sometimes it is not. Fiest had about 20 tackles in the spring game last year and hardly saw the field. Again I hope all of you are correct and I'm very glad he is set to play.

the new OT commit Valentine-Okeke was a high school teammate and the only player on the football team who would dare go up against Tre in one on one drills.

Yeah, the new kid had just gotten off a plane from Nigeria, and thought a football was round. Look, I hope TV turns out great, but we hear this shite every year about someone who turns out to be average. Last year it was Frank Herron.

Huh? This upcoming season may be the first season since the last several years. Hunter had what...2.5 sacks in 2014? Even the feared Montgomery and Mingo had low sack totals. I

I think that Steele will be more aggressive and will turn the guys loose more this year. I think we will be surprised by the effectiveness of the DEs.

Does last year count against his 5 years to play 4? Not that it really matters because if he's any where near advertised he'll be gone in 3 more years max possibly 2

Hunter and Mingo were legitimate pass rushers. We don't have anyone remotely near that talent level this season.
