I held grudges for many years as a younger person. It took me a long time to realize that it only hurt me. Someone told me it was like drinking poison expecting the other person to die.

Really good. My list of unforgivable is very short - maybe two.

If you have a foundation that prevents you from allowing people to walk all over you, then you can never forgive enough. If you don't then attempts at forgiveness probably aren't really going to result in true forgiveness anyway.

If they apologize and show they've changed - great.

If not - not good or pretty much don't ever truly forgive.

I remember everything like a woman. But I don't hold it against the person because it's one and done with me.

I'm good at it. I don't forget though. I always remember and keep score. I'll let it go, not be mad about it and go back to being your friend or whatever, but I will remember.

The remembering to me is not about not forgiving. It is about knowing and understanding a person so I do not put myself in a position to be wronged again if it is avoidable. Doesn't mean I won't go back to liking you or whatever, I will just be more aware and act accordingly.

I can forgive, but I never forget, or totally trust that person again.

You don't forgive 'em because they deserve it, you forgive 'em because you deserve it.

Besides, by that last shovel of dirt, you're generally worn out anyway.
