Is Debbie Morris (new mayor of Maringouin) the next Dee Dee Slaughter?

This has the feeling of Port Allen's Dee Dee Slaughter.
She gets elected and starts cleaning house, saying she is going a "new direction".
She fires the fire chef of 30 years. Most of the other firemen quit.
She refuses interviews to the news.
WAFB had a story on it last night and this evening, but I cannot find a link on their website.
