how can any self respecting saints fan cheer for the seahawks

given our history with the seahawks, then add on the LSU hate for Pete Carroll, how can every person in this state not cheer for the pats?
also, i've noticed a long history of tom brady hate in louisiana which i have never understood. saints are not rivals with the patriots, have never had any real beef with them, nor Tom Brady himself. whats up with that? my theory is there is so much payton manning love here, people feel like tom brady is a threat to his legacy.

I dislike both teams. However, I dislike Belichick and Brady more than Carroll and Wilson.

As a guy who roots for the Saints, I for one hate all Boston area sports, primarily for 2 reasons.
1.) I don't like how they turned away McNabb (grew up watching him, wanted to see him win one)
2.) I did not like how they have turned away LeBron over and over during his 1st stint in Cleveland.
So Seahawks it is!!!!

I have family in Seattle and my father in law is a big-time Seahawks fan.
They beat us a few times, including the playoffs, and I'm supposed to hate them?
That's just dumb, if LSU had been #1 in the AP poll we'd be claiming that shite too.

In other words, Saints fans shouldn't go for the Seahawks because they've fairly beaten the Saints in the past.

I'm a Saints fan, but I don't hate the Seahawks. Yeah, they knocked the Saints out the playoffs twice, but they were just the better team. I really only dislike the Falcons and the Cowboys.
And I'm a huge LSU fan, but I don't hate Pete Carroll for some reason.
I'm pulling for the Seahawks because I like Sherman, Wilson, Lynch and that awesome defense. Plus, they come from the land of grunge. And frick Bill Belichick

I like the Seahawks only because when Benson pulled his shite after Katrina and tried to steal our team I decided to root for someone else "until we won a Super Bowl." I picked Seattle to be my new team for the sole reason that they were the furthest away geographically.

I don't care that the Seahawks have worked us over lately.
If there were anything I don't like about them is that they continue to act as though they are underdogs or that nobody thinks they can do it. You're defending Super Bowl champs and repeat conference champion, not to mention all the talking heads on ESPN had you as the favorite going in to the season. I don't get this nobody thinks we can do it bullshite.
