Yes. We were talking about a specific instance. Of course Billy Bob leaving could be a risk. But we were specifically talking about 2013 Hunter Mahan risking his card.

If he is going to miss it, just put a live feed of the birth up on the Jumbotron. Problem solved.

Super bowl easily. Men are so wussy about child birth these days when great men of the past like Don Draper would be cool as shite just being all bored outside in the waiting room

Not based on the words of the posts. You didn't clearly say Hunter in 2013 was risking his tour card.

And regardless, he didn't win at all in 2013. Which means he didn't get a 1 year exemption from being top 125 in the money. Which means one bad year without a win the previous year, and he loses his card. SO that win was actually a big deal without the benefit of hindsight.

What's wrong, sad that there was a legit risk? It's as legit a risk as Sherman being out the league for missing the Super Bowl, since you like that comparison so much.

Except one could have actually happened and the other is 100% impossible to happen.

Choose the Super Bowl. You will be with the kid for years. It is one day. Family is important but so is work. He needs to be at the Super Bowl then have a plane waiting on him to take him home.

End of story.

I don't feel sorry for him, but do empathize. It's a shame to miss something like that.

I don't have kids. What are the odds that if Sherman were to miss the Super Bowl, he would just be sitting in a hospital not doing shite? Birth ends up happening way later?

Hug clearly isn't doing that fwiw so it's nice to see 10 pages arguing

We know Brady wouldnt be there. Hell, he usually just ditches the women when they get pregnant. At least Sherman isnt a Thug and is supporting the mother of his child

Not reading pages of this BS, but couldn't they induce pregnancy early? That or deliver by c-section? He doesn't really have to choose between the two.

Seriously. I'm sure the kid would love telling people that he dad was airlifted straight from winning the Super Bowl to the hospital to meet him.

A man will choose his duty since it's harder and requires more work and effort of the 2 options.

As a man, I would respect my father more if he was earning his place in the world as oppose to him being there to see me pop out of a wet womb.

This too. Imagine if he has a son, when that son gets older he will think

"My Dad left his team and city in the Super bowl so he could be 4 hours earlier to my birth. And they lost. I have sucked at life since I started life"

A ton of people in this thread keep saying that if you don't have children then you can't have an opinion about this.

But this man has spent almost his entire life working at this sport to get to the pinnacle of his profession and you expect him to miss that? Y'all are insane. Sure, it sucks that he might miss the birth but it's not the end of the world. How about y'all can't have an opinion on this topic unless you've spent 90% of your life training to become the top 1% at your job

If she's that close, induce her tomorrow, kid will pop out or get cut out by Saturday. Problem solved.

If she's not that close, don't worry about it.
