DGDT: Easy Mode or a Challenge?

I think we've had this discussion at some point before, but which gamer are you?
1) I don't care much about difficulty, I just want to experience the game.
2) I prefer a challenge when playing, so I always go with hard mode.
3) I just get through the game once, THEN try it again at a harder difficulty.
I know a few people who were playing through Skyrim and when they felt their character was too OP, they bumped up the difficulty. That's what I strive for. To become so beast that I can snowplow through enemies. Life is challenging enough on it's own. I don't need it in my entertainment.

I usually play normal first, it depends on how good the game is if I play again on the harder difficulties.

I'm a bit of all three. Depends on the mood I'm in.

Depends on the gametype.
I am not adept at Dragon Age type games for example so I just went with hard, not Nightmare. Usually though, I will put everything on the hardest setting.
I have a bad habbit of tuning out the story sometimes so having a challenge elsewhere keeps me engaged.

Usually whatever the default is, which is normally considered a medium difficulty I guess
I don't like it too easy b/c it gets boring quickly and too difficult becomes a grind and burn me out quickly
Although I really enjoy puzzle games and Dark Souls so go figure. I guess I just don't want EVERY game to be that difficult
Funny story: last night was debating with Lew on what to play. He's been wanting to get in to the co-op on Portal 2. It's $5, so I buy it. at the 1% download marker I get a popup....you've received a gift from LewDawg....Portal 2
After all that it's an 11GB download so we played BL2 instead

Depends on the game. Something like diablo it's a race to get to the highest difficulty. Most of the time I'll play through on normal and crank it up if I want to.

I usually play on medium. I want to experience the game, but I don't want to be consistently getting rekt and restarting missions

I picked easy for the combat in FFXIII. Every time the battle is over, there's a big "EASY MODE" on the screen.

I play on normal the first time. I only play on hard the 2nd time through. Rarely I will play on easy. I bumped Uncharted 3 down to easy and enjoyed it more because the combat sucked. This allowed me to just move through the story.

I'll get a really good lunch out of it so I'm okay with it

Going for the day isn't bad for that reason. I don't understand the OT's obsession with N.O. though.
