i was at the one they did here in town a few years ago at Wintzell's Oyster House.

dude had to try and eat some insane amount of raw oysters.

i think like more than 400 in one hour.

He didn't make it.

I am very sure I couldn't do them, even in my youth. Need to have the right stomach for that shite, like that lady who took out the 72oz steak.

I've tried shut up juice... just one little bit on my finger was enough for me. I was hurting for a few hours.

My brother did the one in Alaska, at Humpy's ale house... he finished it, but just barely. At the time (this was 5ish years ago) he was the 4th person to do so. I know damn well I wouldn't be able to come close, we had another friend try who can eat a good bit and he made it about halfway before giving up.

Crazy thing about that challenge is that it is one of the "easier" challenges statistically.

8,000/48,000 have done it.

No possible way I could do it, but evidently there is some red meat eating gene that some have and some don't.

I did the burrito challenge in Vegas. The burrito was disgusting which made it all the more challenging. I got a little over 3/4 done with it before I threw in the towel.

That 72 oz steak looks like you are eating a roast

I've eaten 8 doz oysters in a sitting in my younger days. Not because of a challenge, because I was hungry and they were there. I think I could do 15 doz pretty easy if there was a prize at the end.

Skinny people can always eat more than fatties. That's science.
You'd do well with these challenges.

How could one not throw up the milkshake challenge.

IIRC, very few (if any) had actually ever completed that challenge. This is from their website:

quote:

2. You will be disqualified if you…

a. Throw up before you have finished the challenge in the allotted 30 minutes. You can throw up all you want afterwards and will be expected to clean up your mess.

Yeah, he had actions contrary to swallowing on that episode. I can tell you that just one of their shakes is delicious!
