Tell me again why the NFL forces him to talk to the media?

Because it's in his contract that he has too and the NFL wants to promote it's brand and it's players and one of the ways to do that is to give them more exposure as well as it is to have a good working relationship with the media

Media is the problem though. Nobody trusts them.

It's in his contract. He signed and agreed to it. He deposits multi million dollar checks as part of the deal. He's full of shite now in my opiion, its his schtick (or however you spell it). He calls attention to himself by saying he doesnt want any attention.

Also, why doesnt he bash the players' association. They agreed with this as part of the agreement. If you're pissed at the owners and league, be pissed at your union also.

I don't think he is pissed about anything. He just doesn't enjoy media interviews, and doesn't give a frick what you think about it.

I get that but he doesn't want to do it and embarrasses the league. It would be better for them not to require it of him. Plenty of players to interview.

There are tons of people saying the NFL is like the gestapo and shouldnt force him to do media. I've never heard anyone say anything about the players association who also agreed to the contract stipulation.

Also, I have no interest in watching Lynch or 90% of these guys try to do an interview. It's painful to watch.

No doubt. He puts the spotlight on himself by saying he doesnt want to be in the spotlight. Genius. (and everyone falls for it and says how much of a rebel he is)

Yep and how 'misunderstood' he is

Media is driving this. He has them in the palm of his hand

I think that Lynch has helped promote he NFL this week. I'm actually somewhat interested in the relatively pointless media and interview functions leading up to the Super Bowl.

If he was really defiant, he'd just say "no comment" to everything every time he was asked a question.

He gets the media to come back crawling to him every day because they want to see which new phrase he's going to give them.

He's enjoying this.

At first I was on ML's side, but you are exactly right. He makes a ton of money because of the media exposure. Don't want to do it? Get the NFLPA to change things in the next bargaining agreement.

That isn't going to happen either because the NFLPA is smart enough to realize the gravy train is fueled partly by player exposure and notoriety.

Time for him to grow up.

Yea, the NFL really needs help being promoted during Superbowl week. Thank goodness for Lynch and his antics, or we'd never have known there was a game on Sunday.

i really dont think it's a schtick. He got misquoted several times and decided F the media after that. Of course he has to appear or lose money.

If the NFL said you dont have to appear anymore i think he would be thankful and he wouldnt show up. Really dont think it's some thought out ploy.
