I was born in 1970, and had two cousins that were a couple years younger than my sister and I and were the kids of hippies. When we were kids and staying out our grandmother's during the day when we were too young for school while our mom was at work, we'd sometimes run into them at our great aunt's house and they'd be naked running around the unfenced yard and wanting to play with us.

No, not really.
If I was 19 in 1969, then yeah, if I somehow avoided the draft and didn't enlist. I'm not sure I could have gone full on though in light of the war. But the music, drugs, attitude and politics of the late 60s might have worked on me when I was young, for a while at least.
