What is the dress code for this sort of event? It's not my family and the bride and groom plan on eating at Ichiban for the reception (i.e. nothing fancy).

Sleeves are mandatory, despite popular opinion.

Can't go wrong with slacks and an Oxford.

Sounds like a coat is optional sort of deal. I'd probably wear coat and tie to be safe.
Now that that's out of the way.
Why aren't they getting married?

A tuxedo t-shirt says I like to be formal, but I also like to party.
