Unusual places for an auto accident

Buddy of mine smacked the hell out of a fratstar in his Tahoe at a Sonic. He was distracted by a car hop and backed up right into his vehicle.

When I still lived at home I reversed into a brand new truck in our driveway. Never had anyone park there so I never looked...that was a frickup.

why would a place full of cars be an unusual place for a car accident?
I think the middle of the desert with no roads would be unusual. not a parking lot full of cars.
