Yes, they are...on many different levels. I'm not a negatiger, and I'll be pulling for them hard.

not in clutch situations. That is a good percentage, but they have to do it with the game on the line...big difference.

Mickey is way better than Tyrus offensively and can block just as many shots. Martin and Davis is a push. TQ is way better than Temple offensive and they aren't very different defensively. Hornsby is just as stone cold as D Mitch. No one on this team really plays the same role Tasmin played. The bench sucked on the 06 team. This team doesn't have much of a bench either but they get a lot out of the two or three players.

Put down the booze gramps.

This team ain't sniffing the elite 8.

The teams that make runs in the tourney have senior experience, ridiculuous NBA talent, and/or players that play consistent smart basketball...none of which we have.

I ask this in all sincerity.

Have you seen Virginia? They play ferocious defense.

LSU will not be in the same bracket with U of Kentucky, so Virginia may be the opponent for LSU to get to the elite 8. Currently the BEST seed any of the internet spin guys have LSU at is 8/9. 8/9 plays the 1 in the "3rd" round, i.e. the 2nd round after the 16-16 game and the 11-11 play in game.

ESPN BPI has LSU as a 10 seed. Since some guesses have LSU as 8 and some have LSU as 12, let's go with the 10.

LSU will be playing a two seed in the round of 32 if they are a 10 and beat the 7.

These are the current 2's and 3's (below). IF LSU is a 10 and beat the 7, they will play a 2 and a 3 to get to the elite 8.

5 Arizona
6 North Carolina
7 Villanova
8 Duke
9 Utah < == terrific very tall post man
10 Kansas
11 Wichita State < stupendous defense
12 Notre Dame

have you seen any of these teams?

Tigerinthehollow used a laughey emoticon when i said the same thing. this team is definitely more talented than the '06 team. it remains to be seen if they will accomplish as much

don't know why people think this. just because they don't play much doesn't mean they aren't good. what teams other than ky could send out a bench better than gray/tq, patterson, odo, malone, epps? not many.

At this point , I'll be happy with a NCAA tournament invite. Yes the Tigers can beat a higher seed. However at this point, I don't see them winning three games in that tournament. LSU's depth and consistency will lose a game unless there is major improvement fairly quickly. At this point, LSU has two really good players and four other contributors. This includes Gray which seems to be losing his confidence. TQ, Hornsby, Gray, and Patterson all have stepped up at times. Darcy and every now and then Bridgewater do ok at best.

. Yep. I'm proud of them for how well they've played and the great record so far but they have lots of work on so many areas before I can see them making that kind of a run.

Stop the crazy talk. This team is too inconsistent and is still learning how to win. What happened at Florida was impressive. Every time they were making a move LSU slammed the door shut on them. Last night they let a bad team hang around when they shouldn't have. At best this team could make the sweet 16 if they played at the top of their potential. But right now I am not even sure they make the NCAA tourney. They turn the ball over way too much.
