Bands That Could Be Great With A Better Lead

This is a tough one. Often the guy that writes the words wants to be the one who sings them, and sometimes that guy can't hold a note to save himself. I guess not every band can be like the one in Rock Star where they just held an audition and Marky Mark comes in with pipes like Sebastian Bach and it's on to the next one.

The best example I can come up with for this -- and the one that prompted the thread -- is Angels & Airwaves. I really like this band, but dear lord Tom Delonge's mother doesn't even think he can hold a note. Give them a better singer and this band is much less obscure.
