Could he teach our point guards something? I swear he makes these nice passes to Asik and Davis for good high % shots.

I like him running the pick and roll with AD infinitely more than Tyreke, but no one will guard Tyreke on the wing under that scenario.

When Jrue comes back this Gordon + Cunningham/Pondexter will push Tyreke to the bench where he's a better fit.

he's been a pretty good distributor.

If he wasn't making $15m, I would be very happy with his performance this year.

Understood.

On the other hand, how many people on this board would turn down $15mm if they had the leverage to get it. Hands?

Correct, but from the past failures and injuries I felt like he was a steaming pile of dog shite. Glad he's proving himself into what we thought he could be.

I'm glad he's doing well. Any time that's happening, it's good for the Pels.

That's the part that always bothered me. He absolutely needed to get all he could coming off of that injury. Get it while you can. I don't blame him at all. Its not like the guy was coming off of consecutive max contracts and has a ton of endorsement money.

I may be wrong, but I don't think anyone blames him for signing that contract. It's a shitty situation, but it isn't really his fault. I think he's paid more than he's worth now, but you can't blame a guy for accepting whatever amount he's offered.

I want to agree, but that didn't work so great last year.

As to the OP, EG has put together some good games. Glad he seems to have turned things around from the past few years.

He has been playing really solid since he has come back. Good defense and he is looking to pass

This. Dare I say it but the last 5 or so games he has been playing the equivalent of what he is getting paid.

Also, Reke needs to be on the floor every min that AD and or EG is not on the floor. Reke should ALWAYS be in with the 2s. He still should play in crunch time though and it is on Monty to make sure he doesn't go into Hero Ball.

I really don't think Trke is selfish player but needs to have his game mature very similar to how EG's has matured this year.

Before jrue's injury reke was coming off the bench. The team responded well to it.

he used to be a guy who would drive to the rim with the intention to score without really looking to pass. (aka tyreke)

but he has pleasantly surprised me lately.

When he came off his injury earlier this month, you could tell he was looking to pass to AD

the guy averages around 3 APG for his career, and he's at 5 since returning. and he's shooting 40% from 3. also his drating at home is around 96
