Want to try it...and eventually quit altogether. for those who have tried it...

Can i get them strong..?? Like..will it hit like a regular cigarette..??

What is a good brand that is not overly expensive..?? I see them upwards of $100 and some as low as $20. Are the cheaper ones good enough to start out..??

It won't be exactly the same feeling, but you can get them WAY stronger than regular cigs.

Start with a cheap one and see if you like it. Then try an expensive one if needed.

Since there are MANY, MANY electronic cigarette/vaping places, stop in and try it. There are too many variables/flavors to list and comment on.

I'd stay away from the 'regular tobacco' flavor.. it's terrible.

The best thing is, you can just hit it once or twice and stop the craving versus having to smoke an entire cigarette once you light it.

find a local vape shop and go talk to them...most of the people running those things are very knowledgeable about the vapes to use. I'd highly suggest getting a kit that is refillable and just choosing the juice you want to use. When I used them I had the type that was a twist on disposable cartridge that looked like a cigarette. I used it for probably 6 months before I started forgetting to use it regularly and at that point I just said frick it and quit. Been cigarette free for 3+ years and nicotine free for 2.5

I've also witnessed 3 friends and my wife all quit smoking cigarettes by vaping instead.

They can take some getting used to, so don't be discouraged if you cough or choke the first few days.

They come in all shapes, sizes, prices, and strengths, so you shouldn't have problems finding one strong enough to accommodate you.

There are multiple youtube videos and sites that have tested different brands and rated them for different features.

Google and read up on them; you should be able to find a brand that caters to your specific needs/wants.

Good luck quitting.

I just heard this as well. It seems like they were introduced without understanding what the long term affects might be. There's a chance they will end up being worse than cigarettes in the long run.

The cheaper ones suck, spend the $. Go to a e-cig store and talk to the people, get them to set you up. They are awesome as long as you get a good one. Once you have a good one you can puff all day for like 50 cents a day so the initial investment is worth it. I used to smoke for about 2 years and once I got an e-cig I quit totally and then stopped using the e-cig. I still pull it out some times if I am drinking at home and I still smoke cigs when I drink at a bar but I never feel the need for nicotine while sober.

I used them to quit over a year ago. Go to a vape shop and get set up with an ego type starter kit at minimum.
The ones that look like real cigs are junk and more expensive to buy the refills.

But not all of the "oils" have formaldehyde and the vap shops will tell which ones don't.

Michel and Doldil thanks for your responses

I think i'll just start with a cheap option and see if it kills the craving. THats all that matters to me. DOn't really care what the taste is like of even if it makes me sick (well...we'll see on that one lol).

THe good ones are upwards of 100 dollars. So it doesn't really make sense to start off with a very expensive one.

the shop that my wife went to had batteries constantly charged with disposable rubber tips so that you could randomly try any flavor you wanted to. just try not to dump the tank out all over the place like I did

you should be able to find an ego kit like someone else posted about earlier for ~$50 I think? Those are definitely worth it man...don't go cheap with an actual e-cigarette...the tank style vape is so much better and cheaper in the long run.
