I think we are still a few months away from the next round of Androids. I think the N6 is still mid February for Verizon, god only knows if it will actually happen.

Next version of HTC One (M9) is due for announcement on March 1st I believe. Typically, the next cycle for phones comes in the April/May time frame.

Why is Verizon taking so long?

This may be worth holding out for if this actually happens?

Because Verizon is a bunch of assholes who don't like Nexus devices and their no bloatware. They made sure to tank the Galaxy Nexus pretty hard.

It still surprises me Apple got them to bend to their demands, but they have made a frick ton off letting Apple in, so it's not too surprising.

Droid Turbo is their best phone. If you want to go a little cheaper, get the latest Moto X - still a good phone.

Thanks. Figured that. I only have Verizon due to it being a company paid line. I can upgrade phones now, but really want a Nexus 6. If I switch to AT&T, I would have to wait until May

This. I have the Ballistic Nylon 64GB version & it's an absolute beast of a phone (my Antutu benchmark score was 48, 018). Minus the 3900 MAH battery, the Moto X is really nice as is, the LG3. I got the Turbo on it's release date and coming from the Maxx, could not be happier, I'm amazed every day at the speed & abilities of it.

I currently have the Droid DNA, which I will say is probably the best phone Ive had ever. Still going strong after 2 years of use. I really dont have a "need" for a new phone since my DNA still is pretty flawless, but I would want a top tier flagship phone.

As you know, technology changes quickly but IMHO, as of today the Turbo is simply unequaled. Were this phone available on other carriers it would be the dominant Android. Unfortunately, the international version (marketed as the Moto Maxx) is not available in the US except for outright purchase thru 3rd party sellers although it works on all major non-Verizon carriers. Turbo is an amazing device but like all Verizon exclusives it suffers from a restricted market.

very pleased. the turbo charging feature is as advertised. no lollipop yet--really need it because the softkeys will make it much easier to use in the Lifeproof case.

Lol, not even close.

Samsung would still dominate the android market, unfortunately.

I have the new moto x and it is great. Ive had lollipop for two months and would never want kit kat again. Turbo has beast internals, but has cheesy design and marketing plus slow updates. I would recommend the x or the turbo over anything else.

To be accurate, most would agree the Moto X has no equal in the style department but slow updates?, no. The phone was released only at the end of October and has already received the OTA update for Advanced Calling & 5.0 is expected at any time. You should know that 5.0 is being tweaked to avoid the problems that many of the 1st recipients (including Nexus) created. Historically, all the Verizon branded flagship phones are updated ahead of other Verizon phones especially, Motorola due to their unique relationship.

I would best describe the Turbo as a less comely version of the Moto X - but, one on steroids.

I remember hearing the rumor about this, so this may be the reason Verizon hasn't gotten the Nexus 6 yet. But I haven't heard too much about it, so there is a very high chance that it won't take off.
