Best skill talent ever?

Just going off of talent and recruiting rankings. Has there ever been a time when LSU will have as much talent at the skill positions as next year?
Leonard Fournette
Malachi Dupre
Tyron Johnson
Kevin Toliver
Donte Jackson
Jamal Adams
Tredavious White
Trey Quinn
Derrius Guice
Ed Paris
Travin Dural
Brandon Harris
The list could really go on and on. Best ever in terms of raw talent at skill positions??

Oh and don't forget Desean Smith and Jacory Washington either. Serious NFL talent at all skill positions. Hard to find an LSU team with more talent at skill positions that this one

Ask in a few years. Too early to tell. Although some on that list are bona-fide studs already.

I think the 2006 squad probably had a fair share of talent at the skill spots. But things do seem to be shaping up nicely for this young group.

We will be absolutely Stacked in the defensive backfield! All we are missing is Jai Eugene waving the towel.

Imagine if we land a surprise big DT, Key, Iman M, Prince, Lewis, and Ce Ce?? To go along with Beckwith, Cliffton, and Valintine and then if the light comes on for Harron, Bain and Gilmore? Wow!!!! Man with 2016 class.... 2016 has to give us a Championchip!!!! Crazy talent and I don't care what rankings say that will be a stacked team.....

I think it's a bit demeaning to the Lineman and Linebackers to call every other position the "skill position" as if every other position doesn't take skill.

Listing the names of guys who have yet to play or have played but have yet to produce can be done by any SEC team.
Of the list, only Fournette, Adams and White have been instrumental performers.
The list is about potential, but thus far, that is all it is. So pump the brakes. We have every reason to be optimistic, but hold off labeling them the "best skill talent ever" until we see it unfold on the field the way we all hope and believe.

It Makes you wonder about the coaching doesn't it.

Limitations of the passing game aside, Dural proved himself, and should be on your list. I think Dupree showed flashes of his ability, as well. He just needs to produce consistently when given the opportunity. He actually looked a little like Dural did his freshman year. You could see the potential. The pieces just haven't all come together yet.
As for the rest of that list, yeah. We are going on potential more than proven performance there.

Need the line beef especially on defense or all those skill guys won't be effective.

I don't care how good your corners are if you can't generate a pass rush.

Yes I agree about the pass rush. In my opinion our lack of DE's will
hurt us next year and without a pass rush this defense can only go
so far and it's sad to see with such a talented secondary, pretty good d tackles and pretty good linebackers. A pass rush would make our defense flat out dominant!!! I hope we can get to the QB! Hopefully, we land Ardin Key and Leo Lewis. Btw, dural is on the list and mike linebacker this list is based on recruiting rankings and raw talent as I stated in the list, not on production.

2010 would have something to say:
Peterson
Mathieu
Reid
Randle
Loston
Ridley
Mingo
Montogomery
Logan
Brockers
Minter
Sheppard
Claiborne
Simon
These all PROVEN over time, so like mentioned before me, in terms of raw talent it could be debatable but until results are displayed on the field then it still remains up in the air.

David Ducre. As crazy as it sounds, if by athletic you mean speed, agility andflexibility (crazy for someone with his thickness/density), he needs to be on this list as well. He is an athletic beast.

If only we could find skill at the most important position...
