It follows research which shows that seminal fluid contains chemicals that elevates mood, increases affection, induces sleep and also contains at least three anti-depressants. The researchers also claim that women who have regular unprotected sex are less depressed and perform better on cognitive tests.

The way the article reads, it sounds like the study correlates a benefit to women who have unprotected vaginal sex-- not oral sex. I read an article last year about a similar (maybe the same) study, which I think more specifically stated the benefit was specific to vaginal sex. Women can absorb testosterone, etc. through the vaginal wall, and this does supposedly elevate mood, may enhance immunity, as well as other benefits.
I'm not sure, but think that a lot of the hormones in semen would break down in the stomach or liver if swallowed, which would significantly reduce any benefit... This is why testosterone treatments & steroids are typically injected or applied to the skin where they are absorbed directly into the bloodstream. If consumed, they usually have to be methylated to prevent them from breaking down (and this methylation process is why oral steroids are more damaging to the liver than injections).
I don't see anything in the article that directly suggests the study considered oral sex to be similarly beneficial. It's possible that the author just didn't include that info in his article, but it's more likely that he assumed oral sex was beneficial (wishful thinking). Then again, he may have known exactly what he was doing and was angling to get some from his girlfriend. Can't blame him for trying, I guess... journalistic integrity be damned!

This sceintific theory must apply to men as well. Guy here on rig seems to be happiest guy all hitch and he known for having a little sugar in the tank...
