No.

NCAA has the power to regulate college athletics. University covered up/didn't adequately address accusations of criminal activity in order to not have the football program be placed in a competitively disadvantageous position.

Would "Joe Pa" have continued to get top recruits and win football games after news of a key figure in the program being a child molestor came out?

Who knows. But the punishment of removing any potential benefit (wins) from looking the other way on heinous criminal behavior was appropriate. Shame on the NCAA for overturning it.

I wish the NCAA had the guts to fight Penn State in court. Both of them could've gone down together.

NCAA presents Penn State as a school that cared more about Football than child rape.

Penn State reveals how corrupt/dirty the NCAA actually is.

Would've been the greatest court case ever on the MSB.

Yes, the NCAA caved in on the lawsuit once their emails went public. They even questioned whether or not they had the authority to do what they did.

Yes, broke their own bylaws in the way punishment was handed down. I have no problems with the punishment but the way PSU was punished was wrong. Plus the Freeh report was garbage, NCAA should have done their own investigation and proved their merit - especially with the
Miami debacle.

Point me to the 'rhythmic slapping' provision in the rules. Tia.
