Anyone else in a bass fishing club?

I joined North Pass Bassmasters this year and we had our first tourney last weekend. Was a struggle for me. Guy who won caught 10 lbs

Bad. Most anybody caught was three keepers. But the guy who won had a 9, a 6, and a 4 
We only caught two, both were about 2 and a half pounds and caught flipping jigs in grass. The guy who won caught em doin the same thing.

Wouldn't mind joining one in the Bayou Black area. How does one go about?

I fish in a club called "Bayou Tigers.. It's competitive, but still not too serious at the same time. We fish once a month, and it's $30 a tournament. You can try it out 3 times before deciding to join, then it's only a $50 membership. We fish all over LA within 2 hours.

Google bass clubs... Several will show up and most have web sites... I joined the lake Verret bass club several years ago and really enjoy it.. We nominate and vote on places to fish.. Mostly we fish the spillway, bayou black, Des allemands and lake verret... There are several clubs that fish the bayou black area

Thanks for the info. I fish that area almost every weekend and we often see a club lined up at the dock in the morning waiting to go out. Overhear them talking about points and whatnot.
