The CBD bar and restaurant 1011 has been opened less than two months. It's already lost two key members. Bar manager Lynn Burgett left on New Year's Day. Last Wednesday (Jan. 14), chef Michael Pedranti also departed.

Pedranti, who was previously the chef at Sbisa's and Ste. Marie, declined to discuss his specific reasons for leaving.

"It was slow in the beginning," he said, "but that's always how it goes when you open a new restaurant."

The owners of 1011 did not immediately return a message about the future direction of the bar and restaurant.

For his part, Pedranti is looking towards the future. He hopes to announce within a week that he'll be opening a new restaurant Uptown.

"I'll take that menu that I wrote there and I'll take it Uptown," he said. "I think it was one of the best menus that I've ever written."
