Maybe the colts shouldn't have said anything?
Interception Led to Probe

Basically the 2nd quarter INT is when the colts felt the ball was less inflated than it should be and it was reported to the officials at halftime, which would obviously then check the balls from there to keep things on the up and up

So deflated balls = 17-7

No deflated balls= 28-0

Bill just felt sorry for the colts

Luck probably can hold a deflated ball better anyways.

Do they use their own ball on offense or is it a league ball? I know in college each team has their own balls

The newspaper, citing a person familiar with background of the matter, reported that Jackson, following his second-quarter interception, gave the ball to a member of the Colts' equipment staff, who noticed it was not fully inflated and informed Indianapolis coach Chuck Pagano.

It sounds to me like someone on the Colts sideline deflated it to screw over the Pats. If it really happened the way it says in the above quote the chain of evidence is fricked and there is no way they can find the Patriots guilty of anything.

Or the ball boy threw in a bad ball for that one play which is why Brady threw such a bad pass that got intercepted and then the Colts just assumed all of them were like that

Either way nothing will come of this

Seems like the league needs to step in and handle the balls...

Over a BS story?
It's a non issue being played into something.
The NFL and NCAA don't have problems with teams fiddling with the footballs; high school, on the other hand, is a different story. High school teams love to submit under inflated balls before the game. I've seen footballs with so little air you could almost fold them over...

Roger don't got time for evidence. He's got uninformed public opinion to succumb to.

Seems to me like each team should be able to play at what ever pressure they want the ball at and then it's a non-issue.

How can this not be an issue until after the game is over? With as many times as the officials catch, toss and spot the balls during the course of the game, you would think that this would have been noticed while the game was in progress.
