No, I would give him credit for Flynn. You listed Lee, JJ, and Met as Miles' accomplishments and I'm just saying that's not a great list in ten years.

Rather than making a foolish statement, perhaps you'd like to indicate what makes Marcus Randall a better QB than either Jefferson or Lee. Or as a sophomore, what makes him better than Jennings.

Because by any measurable statistic, you're wrong.

In ten years, Miles had an NFL-caliber starting for five of his teams. In another, he had two QBs that managed the team to a BCSNC game.

So we had shitty QB play in '08, '09, '10' and '14..... In three of those years, our starting QB was either a redshirt freshman or a true sophomore.

The only thing that is as embarrassing as people like to typify Miles's entire tenure is 2010.

So Winston played zero plays his Freshman year and was Red-shirted. Harris at least got plays his Freshman year.Looked great at times and took some first team snaps at practice. Why could Harris not have a year in 2015 like Winston had his first year?

Wow! This thread has gotten so out of hand. It's a real indictment to the reading comprehension of many, or the lack thereof.

The OP was NOT saying Harris is just like Winston. He was implying he could be. And could be!

Prior to starting game one of his redshirt sophomore season, his second year removed from high school, Winston was little more than a highly recruited QB. He had never even seen the field in a real game. He had gone through the practice time of his redshirt year, spring, and then the fall before he actually started. From then on, he was a star.

Prior to, maybe, starting his sophomore season, his second year out of high school, Harris is little more than a highly recruited QB. He has seen the field in real game, but sparingly. By game one of next season, he will have gone through spring, fall, a season, spring, and then fall again before if he, mybe starts. From then on, he could be a star.

THAT is what the OP was saying!!!

NOT that Harris is the same player as Winston. He's not. Harris is not as big and, to this point, not near the student of the game. But, he could learn the student aspect of it and he could be just as productive. Not everyone is 6-4 240ish. But they're still can be successful.

ALL the OP was saying is that, right now, there is not really a lot of difference between Harris and Winston. Winston went from almost no where to a star from the start of second season away from high school. Harris could do the same. Could.

We all hope.

FACTS PROVE THAT JJ WAS A GOOD QB IN 2011.ill take facts over your ignorant and biased opinion.

You dumbasses are so ignorant.
So Miles gets zero credit for our qbs that plays well but all the blame when our qb has a bad season. Do you not see how dumb that is?

He has developed every qb he has had then. JLee, JJ, and Mett all became decent qb under Miles.
Lee and JJ's 2011 season was good. Mett's 2013 season was great.

2009 doesn't belong on that list.
In 2009 JJ was 17tds-7 ints 61% compl ,7.3 yards per attemp(higher than flynns ypa in 2007)and a 137.2 qb rating (higher than Flynn's 2007 qb rating of 125.8).

answer to original question.... approx 4 or 5 inches, 40+ lbs, a heck of a lot more confidence and swagger and the nerves of steel to handle SEC pressure.
I think a better question would be, What did Coach Miles see in Harris to make him think he would be another Johnny Football more so than Jennings? and then a follow-up question, Why did Coach Miles hire his crony who has a successful track record of developing pro style QB's and make him re-invent himself at our teams expense?

A few inches, 30-40 lbs., stronger arm, and apparently a higher command of their respective offenses.

Stronger arm? Nope!
The rest will sort itself out soon enough
