He might do well for a bit because of a different energy, but then it falls apart and we have to trade AD.

The only way I would accept Avery as head coach even remotely being a positive move is if he lined up Dell Harris (they worked together in Dallas) as an assistant.

He may be more successful. But I just dont see him having sustained success here. Guys who are motivators and not X's and O's guys never last. See Mike Brown and Mark Jackson.

There are plenty of decent options outside of Karl. I'm liking that Iowa State coach more and more. And there's a few others I'm intrigued by. That's what's so frustrating. There are plenty of options that could work out very well for us. And we're probably going with fricking Avery Johnson.

Of course he would be, but hopefully we're looking for more than "better than Monty" for our next Head Coach.
