Look at Tom Brady's stats for his "10-0" start in the playoffs. 145 yards his first super bowl. He broke 250 yards passing a mere 2 times during those 10 games and threw 14 total touchdowns over those 10 games. His yards per attempt were a very low 6.4. He actually had more games under 150 yards passing than he had games over 250 yards passing. But he won 3 super bowls so he is GOAT.

He did finish as fantasy's #3 QB

I mean, that is fantasy football.

couple that with the fact he is in the super bowl and it's hard for me agree with you

His team is in the Super Bowl.

They just happen to be one of the top two most loaded teams talent-wise of the last ten seasons.

If Brees stepped into Wilson's spot the Seahawks might be unbeatable.

I tend to agree. I think Rivers and Wilson are battling for 7th.

Brees 9th.

I'm starting to think all you Wilson haters are racist. That or you're butthurt over the success of a 26 year old.

Brees led the league in passing and was barely second in completion percentage. He was on a team that had nothing, but him to win games.

I've never even thought about Brees in a read option offense. I think you're right.

All had better years than Wilson.

Based on...?

I think Wilson's rushing stats get largely ignored in these comparisons, well he certainly doesn't get the credit he deserves for rushing for 850 yards.

they wouldn't have to change as Brees even at an old age moves around very well. He isn't a statue like Manning. He also is a QB who can make average to poor WRs look great.

They might call less option plays, but he could run the offense.

My point is people shite on him but even his stats say he is a top 5 QB this season.

My opinion, bolstered by stats that I like - QB rating, comp %, yards per attempt, TD / INT ratio, PFF rating.

Russell Wilson had 118 carries this regular season. They would absolutely have to change their offense.

Which stats?

The argument for Russell Wilson in the top 5 is his efficiency. He wasn't as efficient this season as past seasons, which is reflected in his QB rating and PFF rating.

I am as big of a Wilson supporter than you'll find, but this was a relatively down year for him. I don't think it's very difficult to find 5 QBs that had better seasons than Wilson. I think Tate leaving had a huge impact on that offense.

The Seahawks' entire offense is built around the fact that Wilson averages like 7 yards/carry.

Brees lost arm strength and doesn't make as any good decisions with the ball anymore.

He wasn't anything special this season.

It is hard to get an apples to apples comparison with Wilson and other QBs bc where he really adds value is rushing.
