Good morning. My body is in a sense of shock. I'm glad I was able to sleep for about ten hours last night.

Friday after work, I went bar hopping to kill some time before the DJ Jubilee and Partners N Crime at Soutport Hall. I wanted to go to a few places I had not been to in a while. We first went to Monkey Hill Bar. I grabbed a strawberry smash and the lady got some type of martini. While the bartender was making the martini, I saw that she added a huge scoop of powdered sugar to the drink. I knew it would be terrible. My drink was good and the strawberries seemed fresh. We left without touching the martini.

From there, we ran to Madigans. The bar was quite full for 7, and the music was pretty good. I ordered a double Beam.

After my drink, we decided to go to Cowbell. It was pretty packed. We were seated at the bar within about fifteen minutes. I ordered another bourbon drink. I believe it was called a Grumpy Old Fashion, which was perfect for my mood because some dumb shite pissed me off by walking directly into my path on Carrollton. He then began chanting some grunts with his friend. I felt sorry his wife, who was with him.

Since this was my first time here, I decided to go with the burger since everyone raves about it on here. We also got the macaroni and cheese.

The macaroni was pretty good. I'm not a fan of elbow macaroni, but their cheese sauce with jalepeno is outstanding. After the noodles were missing from my plate, I made sure to scoop up the remaining sauce with my finger.

The burger was rich and cooked perfectly. I got mine with bleu cheese, and I thought that was good. However, I'm not a fan of the potato bun.

The fries and agogo sauce were on another level. Cowbell is now in my top 5, along with LPG, Company, SoBou, and Port of Call.

After dinner, we went to Southport to catch the show. We had a blast and the people watching was very good. I ordered a few Beams, and took it all in.

I believe Chuck Liddell was there. He's a lot smaller in person.

I also believe I counted at least four pregnant chicks.

After the show, I got to meet Mr. Jubilee. He's very pleasant and humble.

After the show, we ran home and passed out. I awoke around 7 to go wash my car and run some errands. While running, I saw this taco stand by the Home Depot on Claiborne. I grabbed a pork and beef taco. I think this truck is operated by Taco Sanchez do to the similarity of the sauces. Either way, I was satisfied with the meat and fresh onion and cilantro.

From there, I showered and headed downtown. I was planning on having lunch at Mr. B's. A friend was meeting us, since she was at a medical convention in town. They were packed, and I opted to sit at the bar.

My bartender was wearing a name tag that said "Loyal." When I was sitting, I told him the hos I was with weren't loyal. He didn't laugh.

After my joke failure, I went with a double Beam.

We split the crab cake, which is one of my favorites in the city.

I ordered the oysters, duck spring rolls, and the soup of the day, which was white bean and pickled meat.

During the meal, I went with a 201. I don't recall what was in it, but the drink was very good. The lady got some fancy margarita.

My soup was good, but I was expecting more a thicker base. The pork was a nice addition to the beans. The oysters were delicious and crunchy due to the cornmeal batter.

After lunch, we traveled to SoBou. I had been craving the king cake old fashion, since I've seen it posted all over social media.

The drink is pretty good. It's made with rum as opposed to bourbon or rye. I like the novelty of it.

From SoBou, we went to Lafitte's. I grabbed a Beam and went home.

After a fifteen minute nap, I showered and headed to find a place to eat. Places were packed all over town. Since a friend was already at Superior, we headed that way. They told me it would be an hour wait for a party of 2!! Mediocre mexican and $16 margaritas are the real deal in NOLA.

I saw a table at the bar without stools. I told the lady we'd grab it and eat standing up. While I was ordering, I crossed eyes with Nick Swisher. He's dreamy. If Superior is good enough for him, it's good enough for me.

I got combination fajitas and a margarita. I can't figure out why they don't serve fajitas with sour cream.

After dinner, we all walked to The Columns for drinks. The Columns has dropped off since Katrina in my opinion. The bar is nice, but the bartender skills are lacking. I tend to believe most of the bartenders are recent graduates from Tulane/Loyola.

I grabbed a mint julep and an old fashion. Both were unsatisfying.

From the Columns, we went to Pals to drop our friend off to meet a Tinder prospect. I grabbed a pumpkin bourbon drink and hit the head. The bathroom was very cozy.

I didn't expect the drink to contain milk, so I grabbed a High Life and began talking with some regulars.

One chick was a recent transplant from NY. She gained my attention because she was sitting alone drafting notes to reply to a seven page love letter. Poor guy took all that time to pen the letter and she wasn't that into him.

The little lady became drunk so we had to go home. After I made sure she was fine inside the house, I ran to Wendy's to grab a few burgers. She needed some substance.

On Sunday I awoke to head to mass. I needed a little boost so I grabbed a Strawberry Nesquik.

During mass, we celebrated Dr. King's birthday. The band killed it with Stevie Wonder's "Happy Birthday."

From there, my friend and I headed to Lafitte's to listen to some slow jams. I grabbed a Beam for breakfast and ate a few beans and olives from the tray.

After a few doubles, we ran to Amelie with my buddy's wife. I got the rhubarb and rye. My guests got the ruby slipper and a glass of rum.

For our meal, we got three plates to share. We went with burrata, baked oysters and a pork/biscuit dish.

The meal was outstanding. The oysters were my favorite, but I'm glad to have ordered the pork dish as well. It's new to their menu. We all left happy, and we grabbed a piece of cake to take back to the bar.

The little lady met me back at the bar for a few rounds. Around 5, we headed to Pizza Delicious. We grabbed some bread knots and a pie. The pie was half pepperoni and marguerita.

The pizza was good, but it's not my favorite in the city. The crust was good as well as the sauce. I didn't enjoy their pepperoni. Maybe it's just me.

After dinner, we grabbed our drinks and went to the park across the street. The sunset was pretty amazing.

All in all, it was a pretty good weekend. My body is ready for Lent.

Stay fat, my friends.

Mutha fricka.

Best bar manager in New Orleans. Hands down.
That's a tough old man.
Him and your dad would be a good fight.

Nice weekend. I need to go to Mr. B's, sit at the bar, and order every appetizer they have. Those oysters look great.

Nice sunset shot. That park (BarceNOLA) is underrated.

First time I heard about it was during NYE. Do they have concerts at the park?

Nice Weekend. I try to go to Superior during happy hour. Their margaritas are ok, but I can do without their food.

I haven't heard of any. I don't know what they do with the stage.

Yes.

I'm a season ticket holder. I'm curious what the Laker fan turnout will be like on Wednesday.

Was pretty weak the last time. Only thing I noticed was an increase of Asians in support of Jeremy Lin.

That park has the best view of the city, in my opinion.

The Laker turnout didn't seem too crazy last game, the LeBron fans pissed me off more. That win was the most satisfying of the season.
