Am I the only one watching Forever? My new favorite show

It is the perfect combination of Castle (format), Sherlock (trope), and Highlander (mythology). And the acting is generally pretty good, at least from the two main guys, played by Mr. Fantastic and the Jeff Goldblum's dad from Independence Day.
The flashbacks are great since the main character is immortal and still trying to cope with that after 200 years. The chemistry between the actors is mostly good and I love the writing. I particularly love the clear arch-nemesis that was introduced a few episodes in that really gives it a Highlander feel.

He was in Taxi as well? I saw maybe 1 or 2 episodes of Taxi. I love that actor in everything I have seen in him.

Yeap, love it. It isn't spectacular but its safe and solid. Reminds me of castle in that aspect.

I watched the first 5 episodes or so but just couldn't get into it.

I was hooked from the get go. Nothing changes after episode 5, so you made the right choice for yourself.

I love Castle but couldn't get into Forever. Granted, we only caught the pilot.
