Amazing. Takes 5 or 6 guys to bring him down. He and Fournette in the same backfield .... scary.

David Ducre is going to be Jacob Hester x 2 to Les. We may have better backs during hs final year, but I got a feeling Les would much prefer hit em with the hammer and win playing it his way.

He has done a great job with his body going into LSU....he already looks impressive.

He's a great kid and a future leader. He seriously reminds me of Jacob Hester...and thats the role he will end up having I think and I am excited about that.

Next year LSU could possibly have the most talented group of RB's the school has ever had. Such a diverse combination of backs that if there was ever the season to make an argument for LSU to run the wishbone, next season would be it! I'm not really serious with that comment, just making a point. But my God, what a group. Ducre will arguable be the most powerful of the group, and he has speed to boot. LF7 will be the most versatile of the group, then Guice is like a souped up Justin Vincent. Williams and Brossette have an excellent combination of tools as well. Hell, LSU should run a wishbone-spread offense. (I have no idea if this offense exist. Probably Ga Tech runs a system similar to the system this implies.) I really believe, if LSU runs an offense similar to the one ran against tAm and Notre Damsel the offense will be much more effective and will give Harris a better opportunity to play. Just a little proficiency passing the ball and with this o-line coming back and the talent at RB, LSU could have a offense productive enough to make a run at a championship. No doubt the D will be dominant. Even with a few players leaving, LSU has quality backups that were productive on the field last season. But Jennings has got to make some strides in the way he runs the ball. Did anyone else notice, against the Damsels, the last LSU drive when it was like 3rd and 13, LSu ran a read-option, Jennings kept the ball, ran around left end, headed up field and with like a yard to the first down line two Damsel players converged on him and instead of barreling through the tackle he seemed to stop and ball-up his body to protect himself from the hit. It was a move and a play where Harris would have got the first down by running through the tackles. Maybe Harris would not have made the first down, but I know either one could have gained another foot by running through the tackle instead of stopping and cowering into a ball. It's plays like that where other QB's would have got the extra foot or so and made the first down yardage. Jennings is just not good enough passing the ball to strictly rely on his arm for production. And with him seeming to be scared to get hit, it makes him a much less valuable asset for the offense. I don't have a link to that particular play I was referencing, does anyone know which play I am talking about? It may not have been LSU's last possession, but it was at a time LSU needed to run the clock down. LSU doesn't need a 'gunslinger' at the QB position to be a NC contender next year, they just need a smart QB who can make some deep throws if needed. With the threat of a long pass there, the defenses can't stack 8 and 9 in the box. Jennings has shown the ability, at times, to throw the deep ball. So, though I'm not really serious about the wishbone-spread, it would be interesting to watch if Jennings could improve some. Or Harris improve some. Sorry I wrote so much everyone, please forgive me if I've offended anyone. I am all the time. And to anyone who isn't!

Good read PGore and I agree. Was talking LSU football last night with an old buddy and the rbs came up. It went from "damn LF7 and Williams is scary, wait what about Brossette and Guice?! Frick, we have Ducre to!!" I can't wait to see these guys in action and have so much respect for them already being that they're man enough to sign up in with such a competitive backfield. This to me, off the top, says that they're competitive and unselfish even as 17-18yr olds I love B Harris's character and confidence. He seems to have a strong relationship with his teammates. My fingers are crossed that The coaching staff sees all that they need to give this kid the keys.

JBBTiger2012 Appreciate the compliment my friend! Yea, you are right on that one. Say's so much about these guy's willing to come in and compete with the talent LSU has. Never could understand why a competent and confident athlete would shy away from competition. That tells me one, if not all, these guy's will see some significant PT next season. I just hope LSU runs an offense like they did against aTm and Notre Damsels. With Harris at the helm in that offense, LSu gonna be scary good! As always, I am,

Nice read P Gore! If we get the QB situation worked out this team could be scary. All the other parts of this team are in place for a nice run at something special this year.

I like the kid - I like any kid that appears to give 100% effort on every play.

Assuming Melvin Jones does not return, with Mouton very likely a FB/H-Back, does Ducre at least play FB as a freshman a la Kenny Hilliard?

Or do we redshirt Ducre and give him mainly reps as a bruising tailback?

LSU METRY 82 You are right my friend, the tools are there for LSU to be scary. And with the overall talent, LSU doesn't need the QB to win the game, he just needs to manage the offense. Here's to 2015,

He has that potential for sure. I do not understand why everyone just assumes he is going to be a FB. He is same size as LF and DW at RB. His highlight reel suggests he is more than a LSU prototypical FB.

He actually reminds me of a Josh Robinson who tore it up in the SEC this year for MSU.
