I think he could be an impactful bench player on a good team. maybe 18 mpg.

I think his ceiling is a guy who might be 6th man of the year contention , his floor is what you describe.

Really what he needs more than anything is to adjust around the rim when he finishes and a floater, but this isn't news.

No fricking way. He may somehow blossom into a 6th man on a bad team, but he will never be anything of the year.

His floor is out of the league in 2 years

that's why I said contender for it.

and I don't think he's out of the league in 2 years. At worst he's a back end of the rotation guy.

Rivers will play long enough to get a pension in the NBA.

He will never be a contendor or be considered for it.

He won't be out the league 2 years either.

The chances of him being out of the league in 2 years are higher than the chances of him ever being mentioned in any 6th man of the year discussion.

The chances him being out of the league > the chances he's in the league.

I disagree. This isn't Jonathan Bender or Adam Morrison we're talking about.

jon bender was a good NBA player at like 20 with a great future whose career was derailed by injuries

bender was before his time + got hurt

He'll never an All-Star, but the guy works too hard and has a legitimate first step.

Again with the "Austin Rivers is a hard worker" shite.

Tell me ONE fricking thing the kid has worked hard on and improved during his first seasons in the NBA?

He even broke his fricking right hand and didn't manage to develop any semblance of a left hand at all during that 6 months period. Any winner would emerge from that period with a new side and we'd hear raves about how he was in the gym for hours working on his left hand, because his right was casted up.

Dude is garbage and I'm tired of the "hard worker" crap.
