Have you ever turned down a job that offered more money than your current one?

I work for a company with A little above average pay for my position. I've been offered by two other companie the past 12 months( that are in the same industry) for more money, I turned both down because I like the people that I work for. Today I had another company offering me about 25% more pay then what I'm making. We ( my wife and I ) both make decent money and are part owners in a small business. We are not OT rich though ....would you leave for more money ,knowing that the job that you were going too is more stressful and you wouldn't be as happy?

I left a good job last month for twice the pay (twice!) and am regretting it. The people I work with now are psychopaths- money can't buy everything

Yep, but I would have had to move to Miami at the time and didn't want that.

Three times in the last year. It isn't easy, but I keep believing I am on the right path.

I've been trying to hire people for the past two weeks. Nobody wants to relocate for more money. Silly people.

I just quit a very good job with some great people. High stress environment. Going get 65% more money, and everyone tells me it's going to be easier, less stressful and it's a 1/2 mile from my current office.

Hope they are right.

I would have a hard time ever taking a pay cut just to go to a better place, but I am the sole bread winner for my family.
