This is my buddies place yesterday and even better today. Wonder how you missed it?? Normally hunting the thaw is as good as it gets.

For one thing, being close to the river in poinsett county is just a different type of hunting. Unreal.
Didn't see many ducks last couple of days. Yesterday afternoon was like someone opened floodgates. With a little sky busting could have limited from my back porch.

We literally seen thousands of ducks and geese. They just would not work. Today was better. Killed 9 mallards, 4 pintail, 7 teal, 7 spoonies, & 5 woodies.

No sir not a damn bit better. Well we did kill one spoonie. spent all this money, drive all the way to BFE, Arkansas for 1 damn spoonie.
Same thing for us. We ended up hunting around Brinkley because the guide said the ducks were on his property down there. We shot 1 grey, 2 mallards in our first hunt and goose egged our next two. Very frustrating to see birds and just not have them work at all.

Hammer, did you see the hybrid pin/mallard they shot at languille yesterday? One of the best I've ever seen. They absolutely smash the birds over there
