I've already looked on eBay and craigslist and local pawn shops but not really finding what I'm looking for.

Any other good online places to look for electric guitars?

I would never ever buy a guitar I couldn't hold and play first.
Try local music stores and guitar center. Guitar center has a used selection. And local music store clerks could definitely point you in the right direction.

I tried to sell an awesome guitar on ebay and Craig's list, the only responses I got were for trade requests off ebay, and scam attempts for Craig's list

guitar center

Great place for used guitars. After they buy them they also tune them up, clean them and make sure they are in great shape unlike a pawn show.

Unfortunately I can't find the one I'm looking for locally, to be able to hold it.

Then you should continue to search. Expand your search to the next city. That's part of the fun of hunting for a guitar. This immediate gratification culture is sickening.

I've been looking for one for about 2 months. Just figured someone here may know a good place. Thanks for the advice.

Have you gone to Guitar Center? You didn't put that in your original post and you have two people here telling you it's a great place to find a used guitar.

No. I work in Norco and live in Hammond. Going to New Orleans or BR at 4:30 hasn't been real high on my things to do list just to find a guitar. Lol
I honestly didn't realize they sold used guitars either.
I will try to get by the BR store Saturday
I'm just looking for a simple used YamahaPacifica112v. Shouldn't be anymore than $200-$300

How much does it usually cost to ship a guitar? I've been trying to sell my Epiphone SG on craigslist with no luck for a while now

I've friends that have as well, I don't know what the problem was, the guitar is a fairly common ax, I priced it right where it should have been, pics, serial #, etc., no luck at all

Go to Guitar Center if you're looking for something specific.

There is a guy in New Orleans named Steve Staples. Has his own shop, but I can't remember the name.
I know he sells a lot of vintage guitars. He sold a few to Bruno Mars the last time he was in town, I believe. If he doesn't have what you are looking for, I am pretty sure he can put you on the right track.

What color, model, and year is it? And have you modified it at all? Maybe I'll buy it today.
