Can anyone recommend a kid friendly restaurant in NOLA warehouse district close to convention center? Good food, not super-expensive?? Thanks!!

La Casita would be a nice choice.

Now, I think they did close.
I believe it's being transitioned to another restaurant.

How much is super-expensive? There's a Shoney's just a $20 cab ride away on the Westbank.
Seriously, Cochon is reasonable and it's pretty good food.

I will be in town for a cheerleading competion AKA the 10th circle of hell. Trying to pin down a dinner spot for a bunch of 12-15 YO girls and their mothers. Last year I got stuck eating dinner at House of Blues - no offense, but I don't like that place. When in NOLA I like to eat good food so I volunteered to find a place for dinner Saturday night. I think I might eat at Bouchon - menu looks great - and send the rest to that Shoneys on the Westbank!!!
Seriously though, La Casita might be my best bet.

They don't have room for 12-15 people to sit at one table. I doubt there's barely 15 seats in the whole place.
Whatever you do don't listen to the moron who suggested Mulate's. It's dogshit. See if Butcher will save you a table for that large a group. Annunciation may also work.

I feel for you and that whole cheerleading thing.
Grand Isle might work for you.

We've taken our kids to peche and they love it. It's plenty loud in there.
