If we ended up with Steele bc of this, then I'd have more faith in a bunch of monkeys running the show in the athletic department than Alleva.

No. Miles has a track record of hiring his buddies to work alongside him since Fisher and Pellini left. Cam. Peveto twice. Promoting Mallory and Peveto. Keeping Porter around as long as he did (see his coaching job in Memphis), even though he was a cancer. Studs.
Looks a lot like he went for that and the recruiting angle above all else. The worst part about this hire is that I truly believe Miles DIDN'T settle for him. He wanted him.
