Top Gear Series 22 Official Discussion Thread.

Kicks off in 5 minutes with their new special in Patagonia on BBC America. Been looking forward to this series for a year now. Can't wait to see the Mclaren P1 take on the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Best TV show in the world. You don't have to wait for BBC America to broadcast and you can do it without torrenting. If you use Chrome for your browser, download the Hola Better Internet extension. This allows you to set your browsing location. With this you can go to bbc.co.uk and set your browsing location as The UK. From there you can stream each episode in HD immediately after it airs.

I can't seem to make it work. I mean, I'm on the site but it constantly crashes. Is that a BBC issue ATM, or am I missing a step?

I don't get BBCA where I'm at right now so I haven't been able to keep up with any of the newer episodes. Can someone give a recap?

It's working for me right now. Make sure when you go to bbc.co.uk you click the hola button in the top right and select The UK as your "browsing from" setting. Once it works the page should refresh and Hola will ask you if it works or not. If you select NO it will try again.
Once that works, go to iPlayer and select Top Gear. I just tested it and am streaming Part 2 of the Christmas Special right now.
At this point only the Christmas special has been released. It's a 2 part special on their trip to Argentina.

The series started this week on BBCA, that's how I watched the episode. Not the 25th.
They were mad because of this. It was what his license plate said.
They thought he was driving around gloating about the the Falklands War. I can kind of see it, but I think they were just being over sensitive.

I looked up the registration plate. It was, legitimately, a coincidence. It was registered in 91 or 92. They just, strange as it sounds, bought a car with that plate.

When it came on, the BBCA announcer said this was the beginning of the new series, the Christmas special was first episode for the US. Top Gear is on Monday night's in the US. So it should play the first normal episode on the 26th.

I loved it, for about 3 seasons.
Now it's mostly the same gimmicky skits. I have grown to hate the 3 (Jeremy mostly) and can't bear to watch anymore. Which is a shame, because I'm a huge car fanatic.
And the American version is worse.
Still love The Stig though.
