Silly author forgot to cite the study he's drawing his claims from.

How do you get uncircumcised?

And how do you make friends?

1) Irreversible
2) By not being autistic like your calloused-glansed arse.

True, but if you're the type off parent who will better love their child when the patch of elastic flesh (common to the vast majority of mammals) that protects some the most sensitive tissue associated with your integumentary system is removed..... your kid is more likely to be autistic.

From the linked article:

quote:

"The study is observational, and in such studies it’s always tricky to tell what causes what.

The observed increase in risk of autism spectrum disorder in circumcised boys might be due to the circumcision, or it might not"

Males have a 1 in 52 chance to develop autism while women have a 1 in 250 (not sure if exact numbers, read something about it a while ago and should be in the ballpark).

The overwhelming majority of men in the US are circumcised.

The overwhelming majority of men with autism are circumcised.

Therefore American men with circumcisions are more likely-statistically-to be autistic than their non-circumcised counterparts.

That statement is absolutely true. It is also completely meaningless.

Pure junk "science" drivel which fails to recognize the simple concept of correlation not implying causation. Statistics and their flexibility have become the most powerful tool of the modern idiot.

You feel like a piece of you is missing. We intact (physically and mentally) humans call that "insecurity".

That citation doesn't lead to any link to a publication in anything worthwhile. And what it does link to is a study specifically talking about "ritualistic" circumcision. Not medical, elective circumcision.

Further, most of the article is poor journalism and untrue. Many doctors perform the procedure without anasthesia still today. There's nothing illegal about it. It is falling out of favor, though. And, as far as the discomfort is concerned, it's probably no more painful than any shot. Most babies that I've seen/assisted on sleep through the entire procedure after the shot. Many of them don't even cry when the shot is given because the needle is so small.
