The new DirecTV remote..

...is a piece of shite. I've had it since the summer, and I hate the thing more and more every day. The channel "clicker" is the most annoying thing in the world, and I always accidentally hit it just moving around or setting it on the couch or something. When my wife is lying next to me trying to sleep I have to muffle the damn thing so it doesn't wake her up because of the god awful clicking noise it makes. And the layout is retarded. WHY DID THEY CHANGE IT????

It works. Just have to call back every 3 or 4 months when the discounts they give you run out.

Well I have the old style and it doesn't control my JBL sound bar, forcing me to have two remotes. pisses me off every time I need to change the volume.

i've called every 6 months for the past 3 or 4 years and i've never had one say no
just tell them your bill is getting a little too high and you were wondering if there are any discounts available....99% sure they will hook you up with $20-$30 off each bill for 6 months
