I'm usually not one for negativity and also haven't been a Miles hater per say, BUT with the new issues of the DC search and the time its taken. Throw in the fact they don't seem interested in hiring probably the best recruiter ever, on top of not being able to develop a decent qb. Do we have hope going forward? And if so what is our hope? Is it just recruiting stud prospects to keep up from dropping to a .500 record? Does Miles=Bowden? Tons of questions with no answers. Anyway if you cheer when they win, you gotta cheer when they lose. Geaux Tigers!

I realize so many question marks my b. I'm Ron Burgundy?

I, for one, have no hope

its just dark clouds and despair from now till the end of this god forsaken world

thanks Miles!

you don't officially hire defensive staff before you hire a DC

LSU Football has survived 120 years. I think we'll be ok.

hope/optimism will rise when the Les Miles/Alleva era is finished and we move on to a head coach and administration thats more progressive and aggressive about winning national titles...

Well we had the #2 recruiting class in the country last year and should finish with a top 10 recruiting class this year.

You have absolutely no clue what LSU in regards to their plans on the defensive coaching staff.

Isn't it usually the players that keep the team from dropping to a .500 record?

Bunch of really stupid questions with easy answers.

There's a big difference in being a little discouraged about the current situation and having no hope for the future.

No we're still a baseball school. Basketball just moved into the #2 spot.

You must be young. One week is not a long time.

Alt26 wrote a nice post about the impact of social media on a thread in the coaching changes board:

It's about 2/3 of the way down the page, and I replied with my own opinion at the bottom of the page (page 1, in case the thread extends to a 2nd page).

But to directly answer you: yes, there is hope, but knowing so much about the process makes it frustrating, and does increasingly make it seem that we won't find a good DC.

I know its only been a week! My point is we are seeming to miss out on great DC's see CP BS...when we are a better job then where they are currently my question is why? And im not on a bandwagon I have season tickets and i stay until 0:00 win or lose. Also have basketball season tickets and I'm all in on that as well. I understand the qb issue is much bigger, I just would figure DC's would line up to coach LSU's defense.
