Why don't they just keep Sparano? He had them playing pretty good

Lol you're joking right? Hell fricking no. We want to keep him on the staff/in the organization in some capacity but that's it.

They're going to fire whoever they hire next year or the following year so what's the difference?

Del Rio is the definition of 5-11/6-10 with an occasional 7-9 at very best. I lived in Jacksonville during his entire tenure. Once he lost his wall of humanity at DT he was horrible. He is such an uninspiring coach in all aspects. One of the most puzzling things about this entire site to me is how he is viewed in such a positive light.

I don't blame Del Rio too much for Jacksonville, I think that was more the case of a terrible front office running them into the ground with terrible moves moreso than Del Rio being a bad coach.

I would take Del Rio over just about anyone else we've interviewed.

For as serious as the Raiders are with finding a good coach to usher them into a new era where the Raiders are hoping to become solid contenders soon, I'm skeptical for sure.

I'd be okay I think if we hired the Colts OC or Seahawks OC, those guys are top candidates for the job because they have groomed young QB's into stars, and obviously Derek Carr is viewed as with the right coach, a future star QB.

Just do not hire Shanahan or Sparano.

He and the FO deserved each other IMO. Del Rio was a pretty awful game manager and was maybe the most blah guy in front of the camera I've ever seen. I like the Raiders a lot. I hope they get one of OCs.
