Swanson Flavor Booster. Can't find anymore.

I loved this stuff. It was my go to ingredient for chili and beef roasts. I used the chicken version a few times as well. It's basically a heavily reduced broth/stock. It had the consistency of syrup.



It looks like they've discontinued the beef, chicken, seafood and vegetable versions. Now they have 4 funky ones including this..



I'd have bought a ton had I known it was going away.

You could just dump a bunch of salt and sugar in your own broth and have the same thing.

Just buy the small Demi glacé packages. That's exactly what it is. Lazy mans demiglace.

If it had a heavy beef taste, like the flavor booster, I'd do that.

It looks like Amazon has some....but not the beef flavor...

Better Than Bouillon is good.

I sometimes order Minor's low sodium bases and keep them in the freezer when I need to shore up a stock.

I tasted the Swanson's chicken once and thought it was awful. I think Knorr Swiss made something similar.
