I want to go to Istanbul too. There's some sort of longstanding bromance between Mongolia and Turkey, and there's a lot of good flights there from here.

Bought a round trip ticket to Prague with 20 Hr layover in Istanbul, round trip was onlhy $600 on Kayak.com

Fly turkish airlines, they have a deal going on now.

I don't know. I don't know if I'll have time to do both. I'll ask OP's international travel agent.

Istanbul is a great place. Must see city IMO. You have to be prepared for pushy sales tactics, and take it lightly, though.

We use Julie Beringer, she plans it all from A-Z. Nice lady and obviously well traveled.

People still use travel agents? Why? Book a flight and a hotel and call it a day

Because when you're in a foreign country, don't speak their language, show up a hotel and your reservation isn't there you gotta be able to call someone to fix it.
