watched the state championship game vs Katy and the sophmore QB for cedar hill got as many snaps than he did while leading cedar to the win.

I guess Cam and Les know something that you can't see at first glance.

Yes, as much as I would like to see McMillan do well, honestly cannot blame them too much for dropping him to a 2 star.

The sophomore QB was a running threat. Cedar Hill's talent RB Ware was shutdown by katy so they went with a running QB. This kid can flat out fly so I understand why the Cedar Hill coaches played him so much. McMillian still came back into the game for passing downs but I think it says more about the talent of the sophomore QB than McMillian.

I think they see enough talent and also offered him because he isn't going to have an ego and be a guy to leave in 2 to 3 years like most of the 3-4 star qb recruits LSU has had recently.

I think he's a guy that would redshirt and even wait 3 more years before having a shot at just 1 season being in the program so long.. really knowing the system and be that guy to right the ship. Say one of our elite qb guys of Shea Patterson or Franks class bolt as a junior. There he will be, a 5th guy. Miles clearly doesn't like a young qb regardless how talented he is to take over right away..

At least that's kind of how I envision him.

Why? I thought he had been a two star on Rivals for some time now.

I think you pretty much nailed it. He is coming in for depth to split two talented classes. We have needed a guy like this for a while now. Would have loved to have someone like him on the roster this year.

He hands the ball of well though, and thats really the only skill set an LSU qb needs to be good at.

Please go back to the rant.

Barring injury, there is zero chance this guy should be on the field as an LSU QB. I mean, um, he's a "dual threat" QB with a high school coach that sits him when he wants to run and brings in a Sophomore.

That's not being negative, it's just realistic.

Believe it or not, we need someone to fill that role. Having experience at that position is as important as having talent. We have lacked that for years.

You people sure can be shortsighted.

Agreed. That kid will be a 5+ running back recruit in two years, IMO.

I look for more of this. This is more about disrespect than performance.

A kid like this is invaluable running the scout team in order to prepare for that type of QB.

And are we absolutely sure a position change isn't coming, kid is a great athlete.
