We could still use a big time center for next year

Lyle is a shooting guard. Can someone politely explain why he might come to LSU now? Will he also run some point and be a 15-20 minutes per game type of player?

We have no more scholarships unless some leave early, which they surely will.

fair enough, I didn't know how the numbers were

So no center targets left? Boy I hope Robinson gets a lot better in the off-season

We are currently using 11 of 13 available spots. We have one more spot available if no one leaves early or transfers.

JaQuan Lyle: 6'5 220 PG/SG/SF. Do it all player with great dribbling ability who can get to lane anytime. Absurd passer who's always looking to make insane no looks or bounce passes. While he's not a lights out shooter from beyond the arc, he possesses a three pointer you have to at least respect. If he can develop his body and perimeter shot he could be one of the best players in CBB. Kinda similar to your favorite player in the whole wide world Dan, Tyreke Evans. Formerly committed to Indiana, then Oregon. He actually signed with Oregon as a member of the 2014 class but was missing some necessary credits so he decided to attend prep school in Florida and reopen his process rather then sit out a year.

Jack McVeigh: 6'7-6'8 175-185 SF. Jack is a lengthy Australian SF with a well developed post up game and range. He has a varied arsenal of step backs, fadeaways, turnarounds, hook shots, and scoop shots. He can shoot from three for a high percentage. He's a very interesting prospect. Good passer and a surprisingly good athlete. He'll have to adjust to the American game and put on weight so he'll be more of a project then our other recruits, but he has a very high ceiling. I'd compare him to Frank Kaminsky from Wisconsin. He's on campus right now and it wouldn't surprise me if he commits before leaving.

He's a point/small foward. He compares his game to tyreke Evans (hopefully a little smarter)

What about SG Brandon Sampson, PG/SG Chad Scott, and SF Melvin Frazier?

Anybody else heard any info on these guys and LSU?

eh...well if he's smart with his shot then I'll take it. and you said willing passer? that's not very Tyreke-esque

if he's more like Good Tyreke than Bad Tyreke then he'll be a good one

SG Brandon Sampson

Think the consensus on him is West Coast

On Sampson, he's enamored with the west coast. No idea why, but Cali seems to be his biggest thing. Paired with Blakeney, he's kind of redundant. They're kind of the same player, Blakeney is just all around better then Brandon.

Lott/Frazier just aren't good enough. Plain and simple.

Yip Sampson to Cal seems most likely.

Tyreke really isn't a bad passer he just has a one track mind and that's what kills him
